Hi Bryce and Mike,
Bryce, I am in a very similar situation, I’ve posted on the Topic, ‘2 weeks to test, desperate’, it sounds like we are all going through same issues.
Problem is, some questions are just not clear, not easily reasoned out even using Mike’s excellent ‘big picture’. Exp.? Take a look at PT 75, Sec. 1, LR. Take a look at questions 12, 18, wrong answers are SO close to the…Read More

Hi Marco,
I’m with you, going to practice my game skills and do the last 3 tests, 75, 76, 77 before Monday. If you want to text me, my number is 813-784-7810, we can share notes after practice sessions if you have time. Absolutely, go out with your friends, sometimes coming back gives you a new perspective. Being in ‘lockdown’ causes stress for me anyway. Which is your dream law school?…Read More

Hi Mturf,
Good question, I have 4 old tests and 75, 76, 77. Waiting to see what Mike Kim suggests. How are you scoring on the PT’s you’re currently practicing with? I’m frustrated. Have a blessed night, Carmen

Dear Mike and Marcos,
I was really ready to give up after doing half of PT 37 and getting 11 wrong in each of the first 2 sections. But i read your autotelic and was inspired to keep going for the next 9 days. Do you keep that same entry or do you change it periodically? Love the Arena image, remember Ben-Hur, “There is no law in the arena.” Great movie.
Marcos, how are you doing?

Hi Everyone! I’m Carmen St. Claire and have been studying for LSAT since last December, blew the February test and picked up Mike Kim’s Trainer on March 15. I’m taking the June test and still don’t feel ‘ready’, like one of the participants who wrote that she was contemplating jumping off a cliff, yes, I feel like that at least once a day while I’m testing, drilling, gaming, etc. Why do I…Read More

Hi Mike, yes, that cleared up the confusion, the biconditional information on p, 191 was exactly on the money for this question. This is starting to come together, slowly. Thanks again!!!

Hi Marco,
Your story sounds exactly like mine. Although I’m not usually a slow reader, I find I MUST slow down for accuracy. It is very discouraging for a Summa Cum Laude undergraduate to get a 141 on the LSAT! Yeah, I took it in February after studying the Kaplan book but once I got into that test room I went into panic mode. I know that I’m more thoroughly prepared now after the LSAT…Read More

Hi Mike,
I’m back at Minor Questions on p. 397 and I am not sure about q.6. Answer is C. But I’m not clear why A. isn’t correct. Explanation says that it doesn’t put P&H on opposite shifts. But if P&N are always together, wouldn’t H2 make N go into Shift 1?
Thanks again!

Dear Mike,
Thank you so much, yes I do see the big picture of Drew’s flowers and I’m always relieved when I hear a logical explanation of why I didn’t see it in the first place. But I doubt I’d have the time during a test to reason something like that out in 1 minute, 20 seconds. Those questions are rare, (at least I hope they will be rare on the June test). I am feeling far more…Read More

carmenstclaire replied to the topic logic games reading mistakes in the forum Ask Mike Kim 4 years, 10 months ago
Dear AH..,
I make the same mistakes. We are overwhelmed by the time frame but after studying for 16, blowing the first test, then studying for 12 weeks with LSAT trainer, I realize the importance of slowing down and getting accurate rather than taking the best guess.
Did you try games in Mike’s lesson 21? The birds in the forest? How did you do on that one? I finally understand…Read More

Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am taking your advice and going over each test section I take slowly after the 35 minutes and checking my own answers, then going to the answer key. Very helpful. I realize that sometimes I need to slow down as I tend to get the answers if I read carefully. Will have to make up speed as the week goes by. I DID print the pages from the LR…Read More

Hi Mike, no I didn’t postpone, I’m going on 6/6 so I’m down to the wire. I’d like to use PT 62-71 for drill work as I’ve done them all twice and remember a lot of the answers which gives me a ‘false’ good timing. I went on the LSAT LR drill tool but cannot print the lists. The tutorial states that Luddites, (like me) can download to PDF, can I just print list from the page?

carmenstclaire replied to the topic Nervous about 6/6 exam, should I postpone? in the forum Ask Mike Kim 4 years, 11 months ago
Hi Mike! Thank you for your suggestions. I’m pretty clear on RC and on most LR strategies. But time suckers, (as you cleverly call them) are one of my downfalls. For example, PT 64, LR S.3, Q. 20..Principle/Justify Reasoning…that takes more than the 80 seconds using the conditional reasoning formula. And PT 64, LR S.1, Q.20, that one still baffles me! “Must be true” are usually clear to…Read More

Hi Everybody, just wondering how everyone registered for June test feels as we have 3 more weeks to go? Tomorrow is last day you can postpone and while I don’t really want to do that, I’m not 100 percent sure I’m ready at this point. I’ve read all of Mike’s LSAT trainer and Logical Reasoning Bible. Have done drills and once they become familiar it is difficult to repeat them. Same with…Read More

Only way to do it is by becoming a lawyer, a paralegal can only function in the capacity of a ‘jailhouse lawyer’. This is a ministry for me, I am not…Read More

Hi Mike, I’ve just taken LSAT tests 7, 9 and they have different question stems, Evaluate the Argument and If Argument is true, it would undermine which of the following? But even the LRB isn’t very illuminating as to these question stems.
Is there a major difference between the first 10 tests published and what is currently being given?

Hi fellow students, I was wondering if any of you have studied the chapters, Evaluating an Argument or Numbers and Percentages in the Logical Reasoning Bible? I cannot say that I remember any of these examples in the more recent LSAT tests. And I don’t believe they are mentioned in Mike Kim’s LSAT Trainer.
