Hi Rachel — those are very similar — the difference has to do with the orientation of the elements in the support vs the conclusion —
Oversimplifying down to the relevant issue, the original argument gives us
A -> B
B is false.
Thus, A must be false.
(A) gives that to us as well.
(E) gives us:
A -> B
A is false.
Thus B must be false.
Again, the original argument is more complicated than that (beliefs vs actuality etc.) but I hope that illustrates the differences between (A) and (E) — MK
