#1 My father. He was one of the first African American lawyers in the area where I am from. I first wanted to be a police officer, but he always told me I would be like him lol. We loved to argue about everything when I was a child. but I have to say he was right lol. His passing in 2011 only affirmed my belief that law was the way to go for me.
#2 I noticed I was pretty good at understanding complex arguments/ideas in the classes I took. Especially those dealing with law such as constitutional law. I was the nerd that always answered the question, and most of the time, I would be correct lol.
So for me it was legacy, as well as the fact I believe I hold a unique talent in the study of law..
Besides,who doesn’t love talking about the implications of the law….lol.
